FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We will continually update this page with interesting or common questions we receive, but if your question is not answered here then please contact us.
No question is silly or too small and if you don't ask you'll never know!!!
1. Do I have to appear topless on the stage at a live final?
That choice will be yours.
No-one will ever be forced to do anything they don't feel comfortable doing. You will have to appear in a bikini or underwear at some point though.
2. What are the contestants judged on?
There will be a number of things that contestants will be judged on out of a maximum mark of 10 per category - Confidence & Stage Presence / Brains & Personality / Face, Figure & Sexiness
Also your glamour portfolios will be judged, this is because 90% of glamour work is photographic and we have to be sure that you have that 'seductiveness' in front of the camera.
3. Who will the judges be?
The Judges will be confirmed at a later stage, but there will be apron 3 judges per area heat (rising to approx 5 at the Grand final) The judges will not meet contestants before the final.
If as a contestant, a judge is known to you, then the organisers must be informed ASAP or you risk your scores from that judge being discounted, this is to prevent any allegation of fixing.
4. Do I have to speak during a live final?
Yes, all contestants will have to say their name and age, answer a question to do with why they've entered and all contestants will have to answer 1 other question as asked by the judges.
We of course reserve the right to change any aspect of the event without giving notice, but contestants would be informed of any major changes.
5. Does age or size matter?
NO. This competition is open to anyone who has the confidence to full fill the requirements to perform in the live final.
6. What do we have to wear for the final?
Clothing will include things like bikinis / denim shorts or skirts and top (for an area final) All details of clothing requirements, times and full details will be sent to all successful area finalists but we have taken the decision to keep the potential costs down as much as possible for contestants, whilst still delivering a professional show.
7. What about safety on the night?
Our venue choices will be made by the need to have a separate stage so that contestants are away from the public, this will include security.
8. Can photos be taken on the night?
Only our approved photographers will be allowed to take photos during the event. No photography from any member of the public will be allowed and this includes mobile phones. This will be mentioned and enforced as much as possible on the night.
We have taken this decision to protect the contestants as much as possible from indiscreet photos being published anywhere.
9. Do I have to be a dancer or have some experience to take part?
NO, you don't have to, you will have to be prepared to learn the steps and timings required for the show though. There will be nothing included in the event that will be to difficult and staff are on hand to go over everything and if you don't get something ask!
With some of the things we teach during the day, you will in fact learn a lot about how to walk, turn, pose and use a microphone etc
10. How will I know if I have made it through to an area final?
You will be contacted directly if you have made it through and after the £40 admin fee has been paid you will be provided with full details for the event.
